Sometimes...

Sometimes i just feel like crying.. maybe i am too pampered.. i cannot work well in the real society.. Not that i cant do my work but more like i dont like my work.. I dont understand what i am doing, why i am doing this... "I am paid to do all this", that's the only feeling i have.. Maybe i should quit and go back to those music retail outlets to work.. Probably be happier or i will probably be complaining about the long hours and low pay then.. Why, why, why? Why cant i just be content? Why must i complain about everything? Maybe i need a wake-up call.. This world is not going to stop running because of one small little me... Okay, back to work...

  • Looks to me that, given that you are still in the early years of your adult working life, you are still making that transition from student to career woman.

These things take time. Some people adjust faster than others.

Just take it a day at a time and you'll be fine eventually.

  • i also dun like my work. but what to do? you still need to work for a living.

given the choice, a lot of people would choose not to work at all. but these are all hopes and aren't reality in life, since you can't survive without working.

as jay said, you are still in the early stages of working. when you start to work for a longer period, you will know ultimately what you want to do, then you can go towards finding your favourite job then.

  • hihi,
    thanks for dropping by.

everybody needs some adjustment period when transiting from one to another stage of our lives. so you are perfectly normal. perhaps you should start to think more positively. like what are the positives things you may gain from your work. you may start this positive movement by first changing the title of your blog? you are what you think, so please dare to dream.

about the luncheon. since it was company event, we have our lunch in the ballroom of Pan Pacific. i think there is only one chinese restaurant there, Hai Tien Lo, and I must say they are darn good!

    cheers!

  • I can totally empathize as I'm also making the transition from a carefree student to a working adult ridden with responsibilities.

I believe in working in a job which you're interested in, which recognizes your abilities/talents & definitely something which you excel in.
Anyway, we're still young, this won't be a job you'll stick to for life. If a better lobang comes along, grab!!!
In the meantime, as how my sister who's been working for donkey yrs, advised, "Don't think, just do. Days will pass eventually."
    It works!
