Guest relations officers

i suddenly thought how great those guest relations officers are. You know those that are situated at the hotel counters, who issued out the keys when customers come back to the hotel? I really wonder how they managed to remember which customers stayed in which room.

On the other hand, maybe they do not really remember. Isnt that a risk for the customers then? What if someone want to steal something and get the keys.. Scary..Regardless, i still think that they are great and should be complimented with a "thank you" or something..

Are we too pampered that sometimes we forget that the service staff are humans too? I noticed ppl being served as they deserved it.. Yes, they did because they paid for it but then they do not really earn our respect. Next time, do say "Thank you" if someone have served you, even if it is only the cleaning lady clearing the tables.



  • i did sales before, so i tend to say thank you to service ppl alot...sadly,i think there's a need to be in their shoes first...
