My future husband, Luke...

I'm feeling so nervous.. I am going to see my future husband for the first time later.

Ever since i saw his picture (from my future father-in-law), I had fallen in love with him and today, I finally got a chance to see him, touch him, hug him..

Oh my, oh my... Just thinking about it made me excited.. I hope he like the present I got him... ^_^

At first, I wanted to get a custom made one but too costly and I do not have the time to wait.. Anyway, the design is quite cute..

I already informed my future father-in-law to set the ceremony for 20 years later... My future father-in-law is still finding it hard to accept it, since he himself is only 5 years older than me.. However, I believe he will come to terms with it in no time.

Okie, time to go for the visit... Super happy ^_^

Market day...

Today, I dated Sharon out for a trip to the Markets... Not to those wet markets, but to the Singapore River Market at Boat Quay and That Bazaar at Clarke Quay...

Met at 4pm at Raffles Place and took our time to walk over to the Arts House.. Not sure whether we are too early or it was too hot, but the number of stalls is quite disappointing.. Magazine mentioned over 70plus, but we counted only 40-50 stalls.. Guess really too hot bah.. Both of us started to sweat within 10secs when we were looking at some clothes at a stall.. Bought a white dress for myself.. I was actually quite tempted to buy the cakes from the CCÛP stall... Really very pretty loh... But i must restrain.. i must control... Ahhhhhhhh......

After that, we walked down to Central and went to Starbucks for a rest.. I think now can revised the slogan of Kit Kat to "Have a break, have a Starbucks"...

Bliss

Shopped around Central before going to That Bazaar.. Once again, disappointed by the size.. Sighz... I guess I should not have such high hopes... But then again, the stalls in That Bazaar are more affordable and fashionable... More clothes, shoes and bags.. Took a stroll and bought a bag for myself.. Then we walked back to Central for dinner at Billy Bombers.. Ordered 2 of the 4-courses sets and shared it among the ourselves.. Love the Ben and Jerry ice cream, though quite sad that it wasnt chocolate flavour. After dinner, we walked back to the bazaar as Sharon wanted to buy another bag..

On the way there, we saw 3 guys and 1 lady distributing flowers to the crowd surrounding them. Both of us were quite curious what was going on so we joined in the crowd. Actually, I couldnt help notice how cute the 3 guys are and couldnt resist getting close to them.. They are really very CUTE!!! We managed to get a flower each, along with a card that explained their flowers-giving action. It is actually for the "Protect Women Against AIDS" campaign, to help more women to be aware and prevent getting AIDS.. So meaningful hor?

One side of the card actually have the words, "He loves you if he respects you". Totally agree as no one should be pressured to do something they do not want to do..

Anyway, went back and i bought a dress and 2 earrings.. OMG, i spent too much... Over $100.. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh........... Never mind, the flower cheers me up already...

These few days were spent lazing at home or meeting friends... It feel really like a nice holiday for me.. And I'm still paid as i am clearing leave...

But well, good times will end soon... Just when?

Disgusting Customer Service at Spa

My brother got 2 free spa vouchers, so i called up for an appointment and my mom and I went to utilize it today. We choose the 60-min facial and arrived quite early. It is located at Fast East Plaza. We were asked to do some stupid survey questions about ourselves to let the spa place understand more about our body conditions.. But i really think it is pointless.. I even have to help my mom did hers as she did not understand the questions in english.

During facial, i was being "psycho" to top up my facial to a better one, to sign for package, etc etc.. I managed to brush it off, saying i got no money and already had a package with another company. I was quite okie with the service of the lady who served me as she was quite friendly.. I checked with my mom after the service whether the one who served her got "psycho" her or not and she said no... I guess they thought that i got more financial ability..

Anyway, after the facial, both of us were showed to a small room and served tea.. Then a consultant came to "psycho" us again... Both of us politely rejected and I also told her my reason again and her face changed immediately. She even scolded me and said, "Since you already got a package, why did you still come for the facial?". I think she thought of my mom and I as "cheapos", who came for a free facial.

At that moment, my brain is filled with a lot of question marks.. First of all, the terms did not state that i cant enjoy a free facial if i already had a package elsewhere... Another thing is her products are not so special that i got tempted to sign on immediately (in fact it is quite similar to the one I am signed with at the moment), especially the place is really far away from my home. I am also not in the right financial state to sign for an expensive and useless facial package at the moment.

Frankly, I am not stingy when it came to indulging myself. In fact, I tend to make a lot of impulsive decisions/buys. That is why this time, i decided to be more rational. I really feel greatly insulted by the consultant. If her service is good, at least I may come back in the future to sign a package. However, her attitude really want to make me slap her. Of course, being a civil person, I did not do that.

I think she did not really have the brains to consider how damaging her words are. How something bad can be easily spread among friends/family. I really think she is not suitable for the service line. At least I wont and cant change my face expressions as fast as her...

p.S. Another reason why we did not sign up is that my mom think the lady boss looked really really ugly.. Kinda spoilt the image of the spa place already.. Heehee..

Do hairy women have more sex drive?

I had heard alot of times of this term, "Women with hairy arms have more sex drive". Is it true?

I assumed when people said it, they may have linked it to the fact that:
1) Hairy arms are a result of more male hormones;
2) Male hormones tend to lead to higher sex drive.

Point 1 is quite a true fact but is point 2 valid?

I really wonder...

Steamboat and Boardgames...

Last Saturday, I meet up with my secondary school friends for steamboat and some boardgame actions.. We went to this steamboat shop at Liang Seah street, called la mei zi... Most ppl who know me, know that i cant take spicy stuff, so i was struck with the non-spicy part of the yuanyang pot...

One of my friends, Jane give it a new name.. She cant remember it was called yuanyang so she called it ba gua pot, yin yang pot... Scary during the Ghost Month wor...

My friends ordered the little spicy for the mala soup base but it was so damn "hot" that none of us can take it.. I ate like 2 mouths to taste taste and i decided to just remain at my non-spicy portion...

After a very full and satisfying dinner, we went to Mind Cafe at Prinsep road to play some games.. My first time there... There are really lots of snacks and munchies for selection over there wor...

Played Snorta, Jungle speed again... Tried new games like Saboteur, Faces and Bones (i think is called this).... One funny part i remember the most was when we were playing Snorta, I was very slow in responding. Thus, i got a lot of cards accumulated (given by the rest). BUT, I was very fast in responding one time and managed to push all the cards (i think got half a deck) to the unfortunate person... In the end, i was the first to clear the game... Muahahaha... Getting very haolian already :p

Overall, it was a very pleasant night.. I enjoyed all these gatherings with my friends ^_^

Virgin visit to Botak Jones

I went to eat Botak Jones for the first time last friday. Went to the Clementi outlet with Sharon..
Upon ordering, i was already shocked by the waiting time.. 30-40mins... Faintz... For someone who is starving, this was a nightmare.

My Cajun Chicken that is too spicy for my taste...

Giant pork italian sausage set... Can you see the sausage? Got covered by all the fries and onions :p

BBQ chicken wings.. This is an overkill for me cos i was too full after eating it...

Anyway, Sharon is a spicy freak.. Look at the amount of mustard and chilli she placed on her plate.....

Overall, the food is good but not so fantastic that i will want to eat it immediately again.. Maybe the company who went with also make a difference? I should go AMK branch the next time with Karen the gobbler ^_^

Rare....

Having 3 days of break in a row.. Going to take a good rest... Just the other day, I skipped dinner and went to bed at 10pm.. I only woke up at 8.30am.. I guessed I am too exhausted.. Hopefully this 3 days will be a good time to regain my strength (and sleep!).

Going out to eat Botak Jones (Clementi) with Sharon for dinner today.. Hope her interview went smoothly...
