Stupid stupid.....

Made a stupid mistake last wednesday and now I'm paying for it big time... FUCKING HELL..

Korean dinner

My manager treated some of us to Korean dinner after work last last saturday...

Here's what I ordered.

Chicken ramen in korean style... It was so spicy that I cannot finish it... Guess this means i should not go Korea at all hor since i cannot eat spicy food...

I have a colleague, Kim Foo, who is so cute... He told us that once he eat any spicy food, his head will be very itchy.. hahaha.. So there we were all laughing as he ate and scratched his head... In the end, he finished his food faster than most of us.. Dotz..

I also got teased and paired with another colleague, Terence... Just because we happened to eat and stop at the same speed... Dot dot dotz... They all kept saying i am too guai, cos it seemed that all i ever did is work and work.. Well, they never see my playful side bah.. Now, i really really have the urge to go sing ktv.. Lalalala...

Mooncake Festival

I know this is a few weeks late but what the heck...

I was the self-appointed mooncake buyer for my family this year as I wanted to get the mooncake from Raffles the Plaza. There was this new flavour, chocolate pearl snowskin mooncake, which I had tasted a sample before. Stupid me thought i will be able to buy straight from the counter so I didnt order through phone. In the end, i was disappointed as they only have bailey flavour left when I rushed down to Raffles City on Oct 5.

I decided to try my luck at the counter at Taka B2 atrium. The result was the same, or worse cos they only have those reserved mooncakes left.. It was funny to see the staff lazing around, with no need to sell anything when the rest of the other counters are busy trying to sell off their stock before the mooncake festival is over.

As I could not get the mooncake i wanted, I have to make do with other brands.. Walked around and ended up $60 poorer... I bought this...

This is very tasty.. First time i tried a mooncake that is deepfried and with yam filling.. Very crunchy and not too sweet type. Aiyah, I do not know how to describe the taste.. The best way for you to know is to buy them next year, ok? I bought 2 boxes of this, one for my family and one for my Popular manager, Huey Ling for being able to tolerate my nonsense...

I also bought some snowskin mooncakes from Lavender counter...






I bought 2 durian flavoured ones for mom and 2 chocolate flavoured ones for me...

I regretted buying so many.. I should havebought small snowskin mooncakes instead as it was quite sickening to try to finish the big mooncakes on your own... My best solution in the end was to bring some of them to my office and begged my colleagues to help me finish.. hahaha.. Think i do not dare to buy mooncakes next year already.. Unless the mooncakes are from Raffles the Plaze Sichuan Court.. Hehehee..

Rain rain, go away..

I think my brother has bad luck with the weather... or simply the weather just does not like him.

He was praying for rain the last 3 days during his leave as the weather was hot but there was no rain at all. When he finally went to work today, it started raining.. And the worst thing is he is riding a motorbike, so that means having to suffer from the cold.. This is not the first time already wor.. I think he needs to go pray :p

The story why Buddhists do not eat beef

I was chatting with 2 customers yesterday to pass the time while my hands are busy processing their orders into the computer. I was explaining the story of why Buddhists do not eat beef, when I got struck. I actually forget what is the title of "The Emperor of Heaven", or commonly known as "Yu Huang Da Di" in mandarin. In the end, I just referred him as the Guy managing Heavens. Hahaha..

In case you are interested of the story, here it goes:

Once upon a time, a great man dies. His spirit floated to Heavens and the Emperor of Heavens decided to let him reincarnate as a bull. The great man refused and told the Emperor that he would suffer under the hands of humans if he became a bull.

The Emperor assured him that he would not suffer and so the great man finally agreed. So the great man reincarnate into a bull and was treated badly by humans. His owner made him plough the fields everyday from dawn to dusk, feeding the bull with only water and dry grass. The suffering only ended when the bull died from old age/exhaustion. Even then, his body was not left alone as the owner cut him up and eat his meat.

Seeing this, the Emperor of Heavens then gave a declare that all who worshipped him and his Gods should be forbid from eating beef. Thus, the reason why the Buddhists does not eat beef.

p.S. It was years ago when I read this story from a book so my version may be slightly different but the plot is more or less the same :p

The Devil wears Prada

I went to watch "The Devil wears Prada" a few weeks ago before it ended its run in the local theatre. I was kindly accompanied by dear Meiping and Chalotte, who even choose West Mall for the location to accomodate me.. Heehee.. Meiping even skipped yoga lesson for me specially...

Loved the movie cos it is really very fast-paced and interesting.. It is not like others that have some parts that made you bored to tears.. All the dialogues inside make me either want to laugh, cry, think... No time to want to fall asleep.. In case you have missed it already, wait for the vcd loh..

Meiping is so cute cos the moment she saw Anne Hathaway in the movie, she started to say that "her eyes are very big" over and over again... Haha, i love my friends.. :p

I do not want to grow old...

On my way to work today, i saw 3 elder women on the train. Unfortunately, only 1 of them got a seat from a kind-hearted middle-aged man (who was also unfortunately suffering from a loss of hair). No one else even bothered to give up their seats to the two other two ladies. In the end, the one who sat down asked one of the ladies to sit down as she was going to alight soon..

Looking at this, i really hope i will be dead by 40 - 45 years old... when i am still able to walk, still have the strength to hold myself up with my hands.. Cos I am definitely not going to get it from other ppl.

Sure, there ARE good-hearted ppl.. But most just put it inside their hearts and dont practice it.. or there are even some that thought they are very kind-hearted already as they ALWAYS call the charity hotline.. Face it.. you called because you wanted to get that BIG prize or because you wanted to support your idols.. Come to think about it, i also dont practice cos i am too scared to do.. too scared to act differently.. So in the end, i became like the rest, acting indifference to all the needy in front of me..

Btw, i am feeling better liao.. Especially feeling more energized today and can talk more. Did the haze cleared up already? The haze made me feel like being in Genting, except it is not cold here. Stupid fires in Indonesia, every year also comes and disturb us..

One of my colleagues is so funny.. He did not know where the smoke was from and did not know Malaysia is also affected.. I teased him on not watching news or reading newspapers.. I heard that in the past, he did not know what Great wall of China was called leh... So cute hor :p But he looked younger than me when he is much much older.. NOT SO CUTE LIAO :I


p.S. I just realised i misunderstood the colleague that i mentioned in previous entry.. He didnt steal my customers at all, just that those customers never even mentioned my name leh... Haiz, in the future, i should not leave any name over the phone liao.. they want to come down then come loh, anyone free then serve loh...

Lack of sleep...

Do you know what is the extreme level for being tired from lack of sleep?

Mine was felling asleep while standing on the train. So engrossed in sleeping that i only woke up when my waterbottle fell from my hand with a loud "thunk"... So paiseh cos everyone in the same cabin looked over when that happened..

Work Frustration

Sometimes i feel so frustrated. Like today, there was a customer who said he will be coming down to order from me so i was actually waiting for him. When he came down, I was helping a colleague to key a order so another colleague served him instead. In the end, it became THAT colleague's order instead of mine even though I was the one who gave him the quotation over the phone. It seemed like i was wasting my time picking up the calls cos in the end, they will not ended up to be my sale. I feel so reluctant to pick up calls now.. haha

This was not the first time it had happened. I do not want to mind it so much but let face it, i really need those orders, be it how small they are. I still need to hit my sales target, or face the fate of being screamed to death by my big boss. THAT colleague was even the one who advised not to be taken advantage so easily by other people, especially by the company. I feel like screaming at him cos he was the one who is taking advantage of me. He even did to my another colleague, who joined at the same time as me.

I really cannot understand why anyone will be like that. He already got tons of sales.. He even went to the fair, so I am sure his sales are definitely better than mine for the last few days. This job really give me ups and downs in my emotions. Just the other day, i had a big order of 20plus... 2 days later, the person cancelled the order.. My feeling goes to pit bottom immediately. Feeling so tired now......

Love....

Yesterday, on my way home, i saw 2 gals struggling together by the roadside.. Apparently, one of them wanted to commit suicide and the other gal is trying to stop her. In my opinion, if you really want to die, choosing a building to jump from will be much faster than being knocked over on THAT road. Cos it is not even a big road with lots of traffic, it is just that tiny stretch of road inside Bukit Batok Central.

Ok, i digress.. It seemed that the gal is suffering over a lost relationship. Anyway, what is the matter with the young people nowadays? Wanting to die when one broke up does not seem to be a good decision to me. Alright, i cant really judge since love had never touch me yet so i probably dont understand what is so special about it that one will die without it.

Hey, actually i do understand. Cos i do have love. But not those BGR type of love.. Love from my family, love from my friends.. and most important of all, love from myself. Well, so i guess love is important, depending on which aspect you are looking at. I'm going to start loving myself more and more.. Hooray for me!!! Tata~~~

What nationality do I look like? Do i look like a Singaporean, if you can actually based it on looks alone...

I dont think so, right? Most probably judged by accent or something.. Sighz.. Anyway, i will try to blog soon.. Just realised that I usually dont blog during the start of a new job... muahaha.. :p
