My brother is finally back from his trip to Orlando.. Muahaha... Cant believe how much I missed him... He got me a bracelet from Disneyland.. Will put up a pic of it once i got the time.. hehehe..

The Hill have Eyes 2

I did not watch the 1st one, but got lured to watch this movie by my colleague who watched it earlier... Can you believe this is the 1st R21 movie i had watched? Hahaha...

I can only use one word to describe the whole movie.. Creepy.. Nightmarish.. GROSS.. SICKENING... HORRIFYING... Okie okie, maybe more than one word.. Anyway, you got the point... Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.... I feel like puking now.. All the disgusting images are struck in my head.. Remind me once again why i prefer to watch romances and comedies more..

One funny thing was that most of the audiences were couples.. Another thing is that both my friend and I used my jacket to block out some scenes that are just toooooooooo........... Sighz.. Anyway, if you can take the "excitement", just go and watch it to pass time :p

300 The Movie

Meet up with my poly friends on 16 March for a dinner at Cafe Cartel... Due to the lack of space, the gals sat at one table and the guys at another... We gals shared a set for five....

After that, we went for a midnight movie and watched "300 The Movie"



Overall, I like the whole story, graphics and etc etc.. Really admire the courage all the men showed in their fight against the evil.. The funny thing is that Joycelyn was telling us how handsome the Captain's son is and the next moment, his head got cut off in the movie... Dotz..

One thing i cannot understand is the betrayal of the wife of the leader... Yes, she just wanted to help to get more soldiers to support her husband.. But the husband had already knew that this was the fate.. What is the point of getting the husband to be alive to learn of the shame she had brought to him?

No, I am not a virgo.. I'm just not sure of how love for another can brought such pain to each other.. Thus, it was lucky that the leader died, not knowing.. Thinking that the love of his wife is still so pure as before..

Maybe I just do not believe in sacrificing for love... Oh well...

Qing Ming Festival

Whenever I heard of Qing Ming Festival, my first thought will be to link it to the story of Lady White Snake.... I really pity the lady in the story... Being so brave to love a mere mortal, who ended up hurting her back just because he do not have the "eyes" to see the truth..

Anyway, this blog entry is not about the story.. It is actually to tell you all that my relatives and my family actually went to worship my grandparents on the few days before Qing Ming Festival.

We ordered a paper house and accessories to burn to them as my grandmother appeared in my aunt's dream, crying that they had no house to live in below there... Even though it was made of paper, the whole thing costed a lot loh... Think came up to $1500 for everything, including requesting a monk to help pray...

Busy Week part 2

Friday

I met up with my poly friends (Audrey, Malcolm, Joycelyn and Karen) after work on Friday... We went to Vivocity, wanting to catch a movie but most of the movies are left with just the front rows... Not very worthwhile.. In the end, we picked a cafe to eat and chat... the White Dog Cafe...

Busy Week part 1

It was a busy week last week with me going out on from Wednesday to Friday and Sunday, feeling sick on Saturday... It was really a break from working during the travel fairs, as i worked for 13 days straight without break...

Wednesday
Went out after work to bid a ex-colleague farewell as she had quitted and is going back to Malaysia... Went to Selegie Road to eat at Mr Bean's before going to sing KTV... I must say one thing.. The KBOX at Paradiz Centre SUCKS big time... I guess they do not need our business bah.. Oh well, i will rather go Cineleisure next time...

Thursday
Meet an uncle for dinner on my off day... Went to the Sakae Sushi at West Mall for dinner... His treat.. Muahahahha... No, i didnt eat till he is broke.. In fact, i was pretty full when i met him, thus i shared most of his food.. See how kind i am :p

Find Me A Singaporean!

Just watched the new program on Channel U, "Find Me A Singaporean!" hosted by Belinda Lee. This week featured her going all the way to Malta to look for a Singaporean couple living there. The husband was posted there to work for 2 years and the wife had left her teaching job to follow him there..

Every time i know of such cases where the wife follow the husband overseas, i will think of how noble and magnificant the wife is. To leave everything familiar to you behind for the sake of love... Not everyone can do that... At least I do not think i can...

In the program, Belinda's camera happened to be stolen during a religious event and she was saying that she cannot believe that the pickpockets will come out and steal on such a day itself.. I do not know whether she is so naive or is she living in a world of her own... Pickpockets will DEFINITELY steal, regardless of which day it is.. In fact, the more crowd there is, the easier to get the cash or items they want..

So what if it is a religious day? Their thinking is that "I need money. I need food." In their mind, God or the dead will not be giving them food to put on the table for their families. To resolve to stealing means that they had already lost faith in God, in their surroundings. They only believe in themselves, in what they want to believe in.

Anyway, it is a nice program, introducing the places that are not commonly thought of... Do catch it every Thursday at 9.30pm or 11.30pm (repeat telecast) on Channel U...

Invasion of SIM

I was off today but i went in to work early to clear some matters... Feel so relieved when I left cause it means one less thing to do on the next day... After that, I went to SIM to meet Karen, Audrey, Joycelyn, Jiahui and Jiahui's friends for lunch.... Lunchtime in the SIM's canteen bought back fond memories of poly days... Sighz, those were the days...

After that, I loitered outside their lecture theatre to wait for them for dinner.. Lucky, Karen lent me her novel to pass time.. And I managed to finish reading it right after dinner... Yah!!!
